About Us

Dr James Photo

Dr. Jim especially enjoys getting to know what each patient’s needs and concerns are so that he can best satisfy each patient, keeping them healthy, comfortable and giving them the smile they want. His motto is ``tell us what you want---we are listening``. He loves to help his patients understand the various treatments available and help them choose what best suits their needs. In the end, a smiling, healthy, happy patient is his (and his patient's) reward.

Professional
He is regularly recognized by Seattle Magazine with their annual “Best Dentist” award. Dr Jim has a thirst for continuing dental education which has earned him the Fellowship award from the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). He regularly attends monthly dental study groups. Dentistry is both his profession and his passion. He loves helping people solve their dental problems whether in his Bellevue office or in the several villages in the Caribbean that he (and his staff) has gone to as volunteers. He has also been a teacher and lecturer at the University of Washington Dental School and to many dental study groups. Twice the Seattle-King County Dental Society nominated him as the State of Washington Citizen of the Year and the Seattle-King County Dental Foundation gave them their annual award for Lifetime Achievement in 2016. He has been instrumental in bringing BioClear certification to our office which in turn provides yet another option for our patients to pursue moderate, long-term cosmetic restorations.

Personal
Dr. Jim was born and raised in Seattle attending Franklin High School and the University of Washington. He also was a Golden Gloves boxer but decided to pursue dentistry as it was easier on his hands!! Jim is a former instrument rated pilot; he enjoys cars, motorcycles, and tennis in his spare time. After Dental School he served as a dentist with the Marine Corp for two years before starting his own practice in Bellevue. Jim and wife Vivian met in high school and have two sons who both live in the area with their wives and Jim and Viv’s five grandchildren. Jim has been very active in many community and professional organizations.

Hello! My name is Amanda and I am happy to say I am a registered Dental Hygienist here at Dr. Rosenwald and Associates. Very glad to be a new addition to this wonderful team of professionals! I originally moved from Montana to Washington in 2011 and have absolutely loved the west side of Washington. I obtained my dental education from Clark College Dental Hygiene Program in Vancouver, WA. I enjoy working with patients of all ages. My favorite part is being able to individualize the care and education needed for each patient. I look forward to coming to work and meeting new patients and seeing previous patients. In my personal time, I love watching movies, playing board games, going camping and being with friends and family.

yisel-updated

Yisel grew up in Southern California and moved to the PNW in 2013. She joined our office group in 2017. Her dental career began at the age of 19 working as a chairside assistant. She has since spent many years learning all aspects and roles of a dental office. In 2008, Yisel took a break from dental to pursue another passion as a licensed Esthetician. Both careers have many similarities in that, to be successful, they both require the personal gift of compassion. She shines, professing that the best part of her job is building trust, building confidence, making people feel good about themselves and assuring they are receiving the best care possible. When she is not working, you will find her doing makeup artistry, fashion modeling and working on her personal blog. Thank you Yisel, for bringing your positivity to our caregiving arena!

The last several years, she has been assisting patients with their financial/insurance needs. Pam has a busy life with 4 grown children of her own, 2 “bonus children” and a blended family that has blessed her with 17 grandchildren!
