Dr. James Rosenwald
|
Beginning as a Golden Gloves boxer, Jim wisely changed his career path to dentistry--easier on the hands!
Upon completion of his studies at the University of Washington, School of Dentistry, he spent two years serving as a dentist with the Marine Corps. He then returned home and began his practice in Bellevue.
Dr. Jim has been providing cosmetic, reconstructive and implant dentistry in addition to routine dental and preventive care for over 30 years. read more >
He has a passion for Dentistry and loves keeping up on the latest developments. He is a guest lecturer at the UW Dental School speaking on Cosmetic Dentistry and is frequently honored as one of Seattle's Best dentists.
He is active in several professional organizations. He is past president of Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity and the Eastside Treatment Planning Seminar. Dr. Jim has earned the prestigious designation, "Fellow" in the Academy of General Dentistry and he continues to attend continuing education seminars and participates in several dental study groups. read more >
Dr. Jim is also active in many community service organizations having served on the Boards of the Bellevue Kiwanis Club, Mercer Island Schools Foundation, JCC, and the Seattle King-County Dental Foundation. The Seattle-King County Dental Society has twice nominated Jim as the Washington State Citizen-of-the-Year.
He and wife, Vivian, have two sons, Paul and Greg, and several grandchildren, all living in the area.
And, let's not forget to mention that Jim is also an instrument rated pilot and loves cars, motorcycles, tennis and golf!

Dr. Susan Abdun-Nur

Dr. Susan joined our practice in October 2002. She is devoted to her patients and the practice of dentistry. Dr. Susan is known for her empathetic nature and friendly practice style, where children and adults feel at ease.
Before joining our practice, Dr. Susan practiced dentistry in California, where she excelled in cosmetic, implant and pediatric dentistry. Dr. Susan received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University in Southern California in 1997. She is an active member of the Washington State Dental Society (WSDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA). read more >
She is also a member of the prestigious national Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the Eastside Treatment Planning Seminar, and the Spear Study Club. Areas of advanced training include esthetic dentistry, occlusion and implant dentistry. As an avid learner, she attends as many continuing education courses as possible to keep informed of the latest materials and techniques that dentistry has to offer.
Dr. Susan and her husband, Dr. Franco Audia, a practicing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Bellevue, met while in graduate school.

They both love Washington and feel it is a wonderful place to call home, especially since they both enjoy hiking, bicycling, and water sports.
Dr. Susan loves cooking and is always willing to share recipes and ideas for good eats! She has always been interested in foreign languages and is currently studying Spanish and Italian.
Dr. Susan spends most of her spare time taking care of her two lovely children, Ethan (6) and Sophia (4). They keep her very busy and entertained. She always has plenty of stories to share.

Dr. Marty Lotzkar

The newest and oldest member of the dental team at Rosenwald and Associates is Dr. Martin Lotzkar.
When Overlake Hospital decided to expand again in February, 2009, Dr. Marty's comfortable office and dental home for over thirty-five years was quickly slated for demolition. It was then that Dr. Jim Rosenwald, a friend, personally and professionally, asked Marty to join his team.

undergraduate work and graduating from the University of Washington School of Dentistry.
He started his practice in the Medical-Dental Building in Seattle, but soon moved to Bellevue, which has served as his professional home for over half his life. He has instructed at the University of Washington and has always enjoyed enriching his education on professional committees, in classes, and in study clubs. He helped to launch the first Head Start dental program in the Seattle area.

Dr. Marty is a life-time member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, and the Seattle/King County District Dental Society. He and his wife, Elaine, have three grown children, Stephen, John, and Amy, and seven extremely precocious grandchildren.
Known to his patients for his warm and caring nature and his ability to be an "engaging conversationalist," Dr. Marty enjoys working with Drs. Jim and Susan and the friendly Rosenwald and Associates staff. He is delighted to be able to continue to serve his loyal patents in his new home.

Pattie Felix

Pattie has been with our office for about......a hundred years or so. After graduating from the University of Minnesota Dental Hygiene program she promptly left the mid-west for taller mountains. She worked with us for a few years and then moved away. She returned in 1986 and has stayed ever since.

classes are a priority for her in an effort to bring the most current and up-to-date information and techniques to her work. Pattie has worked in Pedodontic, Periodontic and General Practice in four different states and loves the professional growth and expanded duties this has given her.
She and her husband, Bob, feel lucky to have their grown children, granddaughter and many other family members in the Pacific Northwest. Pattie enjoys walking, camping, sewing and exploring!

Liz is a Northwest native originally from Spokane, WA and has lived in the Seattle area since 2001. She graduated from Lake Washington Technical College in 2006 with an A.A.S. in Dental Hygiene. She is passionate about oral health and enjoys working with the dental team to educate and care for our patients. In her free time she enjoys hiking, cooking, reading and playing with her rescue dog, Sadie.

Donnell is the newest member of our team! She is a native to the Northwest, having attended Summit High School and then Renton Technical College, where she received her dental assisting degree in 2007. She is wonderful team member who takes pride in her work and who commits time and energy in taking excellent care of our patients. Donnell loves to travel and you may find her on warm, sunny beaches! She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, whether they are trying out new restaurants or celebrating life's many occasions. We are very happy to have her positive spirit in our office "family!"

Ellen has been a valued employee for over 25 years. She has worked as a Dental Assistant and is currently working as the Patient Care Specialist. Her warm smile welcomes you as you enter our office and her dedication to providing the very best is evident to all of our patients. Ellen has built many long term relationships with patients; she finds this to be one of the most rewarding aspects of her job. Ellen and her husband Bob are busy with their two boys, Derek and Dane, both of whom are extremely involved in their sports. She loves spending time with family and friends.

Georgina began her dental career at Seattle Vocational Institute graduating as a dental assistant in 2005. She brings that knowledge to our front office where she helps our patients clarify their treatment needs, coordinate and schedule appointments and puts them at ease with her genuinely friendly personality. Georgina, in her pursuit to learn and grow, continues with her education.
Personal interests and pleasures include shopping, her family, her dog "Suzie" and just having fun! If you have any questions, Georgina will find the answers for you! She truly finds joy in helping others, which is what makes her such a valuable member of our team.

Pamela Collins

Pam joined our front office team in February of 2008 and brought 30 years of dental experience with her. She has been in many aspects of dentistry including general, periodontal and surgical assisting. The last 10+ years she has been instrumental in coordinating treatment and assisting patients with their financial and insurance needs. Pam has a busy life with 4 grown children and 6 grand-children from Alaska to Puerto Rico. She loves to cook, garden and share the bounty of her flowers and vegetables with family, friends, co-workers and patients! Music, entertaining, travel and writing are a few of the other interests that round out her days (and nights).

Laurie graduated from Shoreline Community College's Dental Hygiene Program in 1986. She has been working in the dental field since she was a sophomore in high school though. She loves working with people on improving their oral hygiene and has worked and specialized in the field of periodontics.
She and her husband of 23 years have raised two daughters who are now both off to college. Personal interests include horses, cycling, scrapbooking, and reading.

Christina was born and raised in Washington. She was brought up in a military family and she also joined the Armed Forces in 1999. After returning from her commitment in the Army, Christina went to Eaton Technical Institute and graduated from their Dental Assisting program in 2002. Her technical and interpersonal skill levels speak to the excellence that we all strive to achieve. She will tell you, with honesty and conviction that her inspiration comes from working with Dr. Rosenwald and Dr. Susan. (They really know how to treat their staff as well as their patients!) Christina's hobbies include reading, going to the gym, painting pottery and spending time with her family and friends.

Kia was raised here in the northwest. She attended Lake Washington Technical College where she received her dental assisting degree in 2004. She has been with us since 2004 but took a break from 2008-June 2010 to complete her bachelors in psychology at Western Washington University. She enjoys the patient interaction and the high quality of patient care that Dr. Rosenwald, Dr. Susan and Dr. Lotzkar effortlessly possess. Her hobbies include knitting, reading, hiking, biking and snowboarding.

Jenny started working at our office in 2003, and worked with us for 3 1/2 years. Soon after she started taking her pre-requisites for the dental hygiene program, and got accepted into the Lake Washington Technical College Dental Hygiene Program in 2006. She graduated in 2008, and has been working as a hygienist since then.
